When talking about Darren Rowse’s excellent ProBlogger site earlier this week, I posed the question about how to come up with good profitable blog ideas. Darren has responded with a wonderful series of posts for the entrepreneurial blogger:
Ultimately the thing that strikes me while reading through Darren’s work is that good blogging comes from an ability to take action quickly. There is a fine line between acting impulsively and acting strategically, however. Impulse will sometimes work for you, but having a coherent strategy for action when that impulse strikes will carry you through to success.
Thanks, Darren!
its a pleasure - thanks for getting me going with your question
Yes, Susannah, I agree with you, you have to find balance between spontaneous impulsive action and strategic planning. However when you consider “blogging for money” as a business - and this is what I suggest you should do - than it becomes clear that the focus has to be unambiguously on strategic planning.
