Found an Error in Buzz Marketing with Blogs for Dummies?

I heard from my publisher yesterday that they are going to be doing a reprint of “Buzz Marketing with Blogs for Dummies” and that I have a chance to fix any errors, typos, and other problems that are in the current book. This isn’t a new edition, so there won’t be new chapters or anything, but I can fix URLs that are wrong and similar problems.

So, if you have found any, this is the moment to let me know! Leave me a comment or drop me an .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

  1. I just picked up the book last night, but I have to say it’s gotten me soo excitied about the possibilities.  And given me tons of insight I would have never considered before hand (and I’m only thru chapter 3!).  I’d say I’m more versed in the “whole new world” of technology than the average Joe, but what I originally had in mind for our company blog and what I’m thinking now are completly opposite.

I did find one typo while surfing through your examples this morning.  On page 14 the Fast Company link URL is missing the t.

  2. thanks, sarah! i’m so glad you’re enjoying the book and even happier that you’re finding it useful.

i managed to get that typo submitted in my corrections, so the next print of the book should have it fixed. if you find anything else, don’t hesitate to let me know.

i’d love to see the blog you’re thinking about when it’s up and running.

    susannah.

  3. Excellent book, Susannah. I did have a question or a concern, really, that wasn’t covered in the book - maybe it can be included in a later edition? I’m wondering if we use a hosted blog (our’s a Blogger account, through our FTP server) do we lose our domain name if we switch to a completely different or independent host?

  4. Hmmm. No response - you may not be checking this site any longer. If you are, I have another question - does it help to have your link to your blogs within a blog comment post? I recently found this site again by checking to see who had linked to my blog and this page showed up, but I wasn’t sure how relevant it was to providing backlinks to my blog?
