Blogging on Behalf of Katrina Victims

Today is the Hurricane Katrina Blog for Relief Day. Bloggers around the world are blogging about a charity and urging readers to donate. My choice is the American Red Cross.

The American Red Cross has mobilized thousands of volunteers to respond in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. You can donate right now using your credit card.

There have been $30,819 in contributions to several hundred charities from blog readers so far, and 932 blogs are participating in the Blog for Relief Day.

Hugh Hewitt first suggested the idea, and Glenn Reynolds followed up, and Truth Laid Bear has set up the coordination.
