If you are in Vancouver this week, or even close enough to drive (I’m talking to you, Seattle!), there are three blog events you can come to.
The first is a Blogger Meetup on Thursday at The Whip. Drop by at 7 p.m. onwards to catch much of the Vancouver blog scene and hopefully some bloggers in town for the big event on Saturday.
On Friday the 18th, see bloggers and Vancouver during a BlogWalk. Organized by Roland Tanglao, whom you must know if you blog in Vancouver, this will start at 1 p.m. at the Waterfront Station Starbucks and go where Roland leads.
And finally, on Saturday, Northern Voice, which promises to be a good day. Officially the conference intends to bring together those looking for information on blogging and community building, and those with that information. Events kick off at 8:30 a.m. (8:30 a.m.! On a Saturday!) and continue until 5:00. There’s a post-conference party at 7:30 as well. Everything takes place at the centrally located campus of UBC Robson Square. I’m told that the conference was nearing capacity when registration closed, but why not take a chance for the opportunity to hear from Tim Bray, Robert Scoble, Jeremy Wright… the list goes on—and includes yours truly.
