The big news here is that I’ll be writing another book: BitTorrent for Dummies. It should be out in October.
I’ll be helped by the able Kris Krug and intellectual property lawyer Michael Overing.
We’re all pretty excited about this. When we’ve firmed up the table of contents I’ll try to get it up for you to look at. In the meantime, if you have a suggestion about an issue, topic or technology—or any other input—please just message me.
Congratulations—you’re started on your way to your fourth book! (Yes, I know I could just poke my head out of my office and say that, but it’s worth saying in public, too!)
Kudos!
BTW this might be old news but I’ll state it here
anyways. There is a HUGE (2.6GB) torrent of 750 individual mp3s of the participants at this weeks SXSW conference over at http://citizenpod.com/ Worth noting was that it is being disributed as a guide for festival goers, complete with notes/bios/schedules on the acts. Cool!
What a great use of this technology. I can’t wait for the tools to catch up to the intent. Imagine rich content delivered to my iPod with video as well as audio. I could bone up on Louvre on the flight over, and then use my iPod as a guided tour.
Brilliant.
I look forward to the updates on your project and as always you have your finger on the pulse!!!
Is there a release date yet? Looking forward to reading it. Btw the first book is a great training manual for anyone starting out.

Perhaps a blog on the ethical use of peer to peer file sharing might be in order..
