I think airline executives should be forced to sit in well-used airplane seats bolted a set distance from their desks.
Also, I apologize profusely to the poor man sitting next to me on the flight to Vancouver Friday. Neither I nor the guy on his other side were able to sit still for more than 13 seconds at a time.
Hello Susannah:
I agree whole-heartedly.
The last time I flew (mid-August), a piece of my seat came off into my hand. I handed it to the flight attendant. She took it from me without so much as a “Thank you” and a definite air of, “Oh, this happens all the time.”
It doesn’t really fill one with confidence at 30,000-feet.
Its fine with me if the seats fall apart, its when the airplane starts falling apart thats scary.
I had a close call once, and was lucky enough to make it through.
