How to Scoop Up a Domain That’s Expiring

Is your perfect domain name unavailable but about to expire?  Mike Davidson writes a great guide to how to capture an expiring domain.

It’s not as easy as just registering the domain yourself on the day it expires.  In a nutshell: it takes 75 days to fully expire, it’s likely to be grabbed by one of several domain auction sites, and instead of paying $10 for it, you’re likely to have to pay several hundred, or more, depending on how many other people have the same idea as you.

Now, go read the whole post, it’s well-written to boot.
